Founded in Brooklyn in 2009, Brooklyn Copper Cookware makes heavy-gauge solid copper cookware by hand in the United States, using hand-wiped tin linings and cast-iron handles. Each piece takes eight to 11 hours to build and reflects the work of a small group of coppersmiths, tinsmiths and ironsmiths, with designs developed from the legacy of American coppersmithing. The company’s tin-lined wares are made to be restored and re-tinned repeatedly rather than discarded, giving them a working life measured in generations.
