Founded by Frank Carson in 1958 in a Pennsylvania farm barn, Carson Helicopters now maintains and modernizes rotary-wing aircraft while designing and manufacturing composite rotor blades and other aerospace components. The Perkasie company remains led by Carson’s three sons and operates from an 81-acre campus with more than 144,000 square feet under roof, including a deep inventory of S-61 parts. Its FAA Part 145 repair station, AS9100D certification, and S-61 composite blades—used on the VH-3D Marine One program—reflect a six-decade specialization in keeping legacy helicopters flying and extending their capabilities.
