Since opening its doors in 2013, Community Kitchen Pittsburgh has used food to provide no-cost culinary job training, employment pathways, and hunger relief. The Pittsburgh nonprofit combines hands-on production—including catering and contract meals—with apprenticeships and job placement, helping more than 600 community members move into stable culinary or related work. Its social enterprises fund about 65% of operations, turning everyday food purchases into support for training and community meals.
