Born from a Butler Tech/Ross High School classroom project in 2017, JEE Foods is a student-powered nonprofit that rescues surplus food and redirects it to people and community organizations facing hunger. Its volunteers collect excess food, sometimes transform it to extend its shelf life in a commercial kitchen, and build job and food-safety skills along the way. The Hamilton organization has distributed nearly 10 million pounds of food and serves more than 30 organizations across three states.
