Since 2010, Cornell Mars Rover has been a student-run Cornell University team designing and building semi-autonomous rovers for the annual University Rover Challenge. Its roughly 50 members bring together engineering and life-science expertise to create machines that can traverse difficult terrain, manipulate equipment, and analyze soil samples with an onboard laboratory. The team has developed 14 rovers, from its 2012 first rover Eos to its current Cerberus project.
Cornell Cup RoboticsFounded in 2010, Cornell Cup Robotics is a Cornell University student-led systems engineering project team that designs and builds robots and embedded systems. More than 70 undergraduate and graduate students work across disciplines on projects ranging from the semi-autonomous lab assistant C1C0 to the hands-on STEM platform XRP. The team has presented its work at venues including NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and the National Maker Faire, while giving members practical experience in robotics design and engineering.ITHACA, NY
Cornell Rocketry Project TeamSince 2012, Cornell Rocketry Project Team has given Cornell students hands-on aerospace experience by designing, assembling, and launching high-powered rockets for the Spaceport America Cup. A 50-member, six-subteam team, it builds a new rocket from scratch each year, including in-house hybrid motors and guided descent systems. Its 2025 rocket, Andromeda, reached 12,100 feet on a test flight and earned third place in the competition’s 10K Hybrid SRAD category.ITHACA, NY
