Since Merritt and Margaret DeVoe planted their first apple trees in Halfmoon in 1931, DeVoe's Rainbow Orchards has remained a family-owned farm managed by their descendants. Now spanning about 80 acres, it is known for its old-time, family-oriented atmosphere and seasonal apple-picking experience.
Orchard Hill FarmsThe Meyer family has tended Orchard Hill Farms since 1969, when they planted the first 600 apple trees by hand in Kendallville.
