With a rotorcraft legacy of more than 75 years, DPI UAV Systems designs, builds, and tests tethered unmanned aerial systems for defense and commercial missions. Since 1992, the company has developed persistent airborne communications and surveillance platforms, including systems designed for U.S. Navy and U.S. Army operations. More than 20 SBIR contracts and testing in operationally relevant environments have shaped its mission-focused engineering and payload-integration work.

Evolved AerospaceWith more than 30 years developing rotary-wing unmanned systems, Evolved Aerospace builds autonomous aerial mission systems for persistent surveillance, sensing, and coordination across land and sea. Founded by Mikael Taveniku, the company combines platforms, sensors, autonomy, and integration to extend existing assets rather than replace them. Its lineage runs from the APID MK3 in 1997 through today’s SkyTrap, SkyRanger, and SkyHunter mission systems.PAINTED POST, NY
TARVYNTARVYN is developing tethered aerial systems built around an enclosed-impeller architecture, keeping high-speed rotating components inside the airframe rather than exposed. The early-stage company has demonstrated controlled lift through more than 200 functional tests and 30-plus design iterations, and is now working toward a stabilized tethered platform for public-safety and critical-infrastructure operations. Its intended first configuration combines aerial lighting and observation with persistent power and a defined operating boundary.
Textron SystemsFor more than 50 years, Textron Systems has operated as a mid-sized member of Textron Inc., known for defense, government and aerospace technology. It develops and supports mission systems for military customers and their allies, with a particular emphasis on uncrewed platforms such as the Aerosonde UAS. The company also provides training, field operations and long-term sustainment to keep those systems ready for use.HASLET, TX
AeroVironment, IncAeroVironment was founded by aerospace innovator Dr. Paul B. MacCready Jr., whose pioneering spirit still shapes the company’s work. For more than five decades, the company has developed defense technology for warfighters and allied operators, with a particular focus on autonomous systems; its engineering legacy includes the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter and seven innovations recognized by the Smithsonian. AeroVironment says its systems have been deployed more than 50,000 times in 55-plus countries.BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, OH
