A family business founded by a husband-and-wife team in 1989, Eastern Accents has spent more than 35 years making its mark as a Chicago-based American manufacturer. Its in-house craftspeople make luxury bedding to order in the company’s distinctive former 1920s radio factory, where the entire operation remains under one Windy City roof.
DownrightFounded by Mordechai Fried in 1975, Downright makes down bedding and fine linens by hand in its Brooklyn studio. Now a family business with sons Sol and Shmiel alongside its founder, the company still fills, fluffs and inspects made-to-order pillows and comforters in-house, supplying both homes and luxury hospitality partners. Downright has grown from a two-person basement operation to a roughly 50-person Brooklyn manufacturer while preserving its small-workshop approach.BROOKLYN, NY
