Founded in 1972, Easton-based Environmental Concern Inc. is a nonprofit wetland restoration organization that designs and builds living shorelines, restores wetlands and grows native plants for Chesapeake Bay projects. Its restoration division has helped restore more than 50 miles of shoreline, while its nursery—identified as the nation’s first wholesale wetland plant nursery—propagates more than 100 native species from locally collected seed. The organization also provides wetland education and professional training from the perspective of practitioners doing the work.
