FarCo Technologies is a New York small business that spun off from IntelliTech Microsystems in February 2010 and works with universities on research and technology transfer. The company develops autonomous vehicle systems, with a focus on helping unmanned machines perceive and navigate their surroundings.
ForterraForterra develops autonomous mission systems and related hardware for military operations in contested environments, with a commercial business in autonomous terminal tractors. Founded in 2002 as Robotic Research, it grew from ground-robotics research into a provider of autonomous systems for defense and commercial vehicle applications. The company is headquartered in Clarksburg, Maryland, and has offices in Arlington, Virginia; Winter Park, Florida; Ketchum, Idaho; and Palo Alto, California.CLARKSBURG, MD
Voyant PhotonicsVoyant Photonics develops chip-scale FMCW LiDAR sensors that give intelligent machines simultaneous depth and velocity data through silicon photonics and on-chip beam steering. Founded by Cornell-trained photonics researchers, the New York company combines coherent imaging chips with field-deployable sensors for applications ranging from automotive safety to robotics and infrastructure monitoring. Its Carbon platforms are available now, while the fully solid-state Helium device is designed for compact mobile systems.NEW YORK, NY
TILT AutonomyTILT Autonomy grew from the Rogue Squadron team that Ryan Beall and Mark Jacobsen founded at the Defense Innovation Unit in 2017, carrying that small-team, warfighter-focused approach into private industry. The company builds autonomous unmanned systems for defense customers, a mission it demonstrated by developing the MARV maritime rescue vehicle with the Air Force’s Blue Horizons program in less than three months.ANNAPOLIS, MD
