Ithaca-based Geegah develops chip-based ultrasonic imagers that capture fast, high-resolution video of microscopic samples without light. Its piezoelectric technology is particularly suited to observing nematodes in undisturbed, optically opaque environments, while the company is also pursuing compact imaging for agricultural monitoring and other research applications. Geegah’s team includes Cornell-trained electrical engineers and a co-founder who directs Cornell’s SonicMEMS lab.
