Established in October 2010 in Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood, Gowanus Print Lab is an artist-run screen-printing studio producing handmade custom prints for artists, businesses, and clothing brands. Now based in Industry City, it combines contract printing with screen-making services and hands-on silkscreen classes, printing on everything from apparel to skate decks and other flat materials. The studio also emphasizes giving back to its community.

Rewind PressColumbus artist Nicholas Nocera has built Rewind Press into a hands-on screen-printing shop for custom apparel and goods, with every print made by hand. The small team also brings its mobile printing cart to events and teaches beginners through Rewind 101 workshops, giving the shop a distinctly creative, community-facing role. Ladykiller PressFounded by artist and screen printer Steph on February 13, 2023, Ladykiller Press is a New York-based shop making custom band merchandise and apparel for the local music community. The studio has been printing for more than eight years and specializes in water-based screen printing, including a distinctive technique for printing over graphics on secondhand T-shirts. With dozens of bands on its roster and thousands of merch units produced each year, Ladykiller grew from Steph’s Bushwick music-scene connections into a fully fledged business.
