Built on the legacy of US Precision Lens, Greenlight Optics is a Milford-based optical manufacturer whose team brings more than 250 years of combined experience to developing new optical products. The company provides turnkey development and manufacturing for consumer and professional markets, taking projects from early proof of concept through production.
Optics Technology, IncOptics Technology, Inc. was established in 1986 by optical engineer Jim Anderson, whose vision was to tackle unusually demanding miniature optical work with the flexibility to make new tools when needed. The Pittsford company designs and builds precision micro-optical systems for customers ranging from university research centers to NASA and global enterprises, often taking projects from prototype to small- or medium-volume production. Its work has included a miniature aerospace shutter and a government surveillance lens assembled entirely in-house.PITTSFORD, NY
Omega Optical, LLCFounded in 1936, Omega Optical is a U.S. optical manufacturer whose heritage grew through several specialized businesses before becoming one unified company. Based in Vermont with manufacturing operations across the Northeast, it works closely with OEM customers to develop precision optical solutions for aerospace, defense, life sciences and semiconductor applications. Its ISO 9001:2015-certified facilities support work ranging from custom filters to integrated optical systems.ITHACA, NY
Photon Gear, IncFor two decades, Photon Gear has built high-precision custom optical systems, taking difficult designs from optical engineering through prototype and production lens assembly. Its small, flexible team pairs complex lens design with a specialized clean facility and multi-wavelength testing spanning deep UV to mid-IR. Led by optical experts Gary Blough and John Bowen, the Ontario, New York company is also registered for ITAR-controlled work.ONTARIO, NY
Cosmo OpticsFounded in 1957 by German optician Hans Peters, Albany-based Cosmo Optics fabricates custom precision optical components and assemblies, from prototype work through production. In its 22,000-square-foot facility, the privately held company makes optics ranging from 1.5 mm parts to elements exceeding 40 inches, with in-house coating and inspection capabilities. Master Opticians and technicians bring decades of experience to work that the company describes as artisan optical fabrication.ALBANY, NY
