Started in Saranac in 1958 with 6,000 birds, Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch has grown into a fourth-generation family egg producer supplying billions of eggs to retailers and food-service customers nationwide. The fully integrated operation manages the journey from feed and pullet raising through egg production, processing and distribution, while also turning poultry litter into organic fertilizer. Its flock has grown to more than 10 million hens, but the company still operates with the family-farm priorities of animal care, environmental stewardship and community involvement.
