Since Wilfred Giroux started selling eggs from a small poultry flock in 1929, Giroux’s Poultry has grown into a fourth-generation, vertically integrated family farm producing local eggs for New York and New England. In the Champlain Valley, the farm grows and mills much of its own hen feed, turns manure into compost and organic fertilizer, and is a pioneer of cage-free production in New York State. Craig and Willie Giroux now run the business with members of the fourth generation.

Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch, IncStarted in Saranac in 1958 with 6,000 birds, Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch has grown into a fourth-generation family egg producer supplying billions of eggs to retailers and food-service customers nationwide.
