Since the early 1920s, High Lawn Farm has raised Jersey cattle in the Berkshire hills and turned their rich milk into farmstead dairy products, including milk, butter and artisanal cheese. Still owned by the third-generation Wilde family, the 1,500-acre farm maintains a herd whose lineage reaches back 15 generations and produces its own feed for much of the year. High Lawn also raises Angus-Jersey beef crosses on-site, while welcoming visitors to its barns and creamery.

Calkins CreameryAt Highland Farm in Honesdale, Calkins Creamery turns milk from its own registered Holstein herd into small-batch artisan cheese, including raw-milk wheels aged in a former underground wine cave. The creamery is part of a sixth-generation family farm established in 1841, with cheesemaker and owner Emily Montgomery carrying the farm’s tradition into products such as its award-winning Noble Road Brie and distinctive Vampire Slayer. Woodside Farm CreamerySince the Mitchell family established Woodside Farm in 1796, it has remained a family-owned agricultural operation; today, Woodside Farm Creamery makes fresh homemade ice cream on the farm using milk from its herd of more than 30 Jersey cows.
