Since 1936, Jeanne’s Bakery has been making Winnipeg’s celebration cakes, including its famous log cakes. Founded by Achille and Jeanne Van Landeghem in St. Boniface, the bakery’s traditional family cake recipe has continued through more than three generations, even after new ownership in 2003. Today, two generations work in the bakery, carrying on a recipe once served to visiting royal dignitaries in Manitoba.
