Since taking over a New Castle railcar facility in 1993, Kasgro Rail Corporation has designed, built, leased and managed heavy-duty railcars for oversized and high-weight shipments. Its Pennsylvania operation includes more than 50 employees, a repair shop, and an 11-acre manufacturing site, while its fleet management team oversees more than 500 KRL-marked cars across North America. Kasgro is also known for building specialized equipment, including a 36-axle Schnabel car described as the world’s largest railcar.
