Founded in 1992 to carry on the former Laser Precision Corporation Radiometric Division, employee-owned Laser Probe, Inc. developed laser measurement instruments, including power and energy meters and radiometers. Its best-known work included broad-spectrum measurement equipment and the NIST-recognized Electrically Calibrated Pyroelectric Radiometer, a ±1% radiometric transfer standard. Laser Probe stopped manufacturing new instruments in 2025 and now directs owners of existing equipment to Legacy Fiberoptics for service.
