Opened in December 2015 on the site of a former 1840s distillery, Last Shot Distillery is a small farm distillery in Skaneateles that handcrafts spirits from locally grown New York ingredients. Co-owner and distiller Chris Uyehara, a chef with 37 years of experience, developed the Japanese-style four-grain whiskey after winning on Discovery’s “Master Distiller,” while the distillery is also known for its gold-medal crème brûlée and orange cream liqueurs.

Lock 1 Distilling CompanyOpened around Memorial Day 2017 by three cousins, Lock 1 Distilling Company makes small-batch spirits in Phoenix, becoming the first distillery to open in Oswego County since Prohibition. It operates as a New York State Farm Distillery, sourcing its winter wheat, rye and corn from nearby Lysander and using custom equipment handcrafted by two of the owners.
