Born in Bethlehem’s ironmaking tradition in the 1880s, Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation produces super-heavy open-die forgings for defense, power generation, nuclear and other demanding industrial applications. It is North America’s sole remaining super-heavy forging plant, using presses up to 10,000 tons and ingots as large as 300 tons to make components that can be forged, heat-treated and machined on site. Lehigh Heavy Forge is also an early ISO 9001 registrant and holds quality credentials including ASME Section III NCA-4000 compliance.

• North American ForgemastersEstablished in 1997, North American Forgemasters is a 50-50 joint venture between Scot Forge and Ellwood, built around the need for unusually large American-made forgings. The New Castle operation now produces parts weighing up to 440,000 pounds and carries them from steelmaking through finish machining within one integrated supply chain.
