Started by Tom Schueck in a Little Rock garage in 1968, Lexicon has grown into an employee-owned construction and fabrication company that builds structural steel and complex industrial structures across the United States and around the globe. Its Prospect Steel division operates more than 400,000 square feet of fabrication facilities and four robotic lines producing over 100,000 tons of structural steel annually. Today, Lexicon’s more than 2,000 employees also support industrial construction, plant maintenance, energy facilities and golf-course construction through a family of specialized companies.

• STS Steel, IncFounded in 1984 by two structural engineers, STS Steel fabricates structural steel and plate for complex buildings, bridges, hydraulic structures and other demanding projects. The Schenectady company works from a 62,000-square-foot former American Locomotive Company heavy-fabrication shop and has grown to more than 60 employees, shipping pieces that require substantial lifting capacity and exacting tolerances. • Greco Steel ProductsNow in its fourth Greco generation, Greco Steel Products fabricates, details, and erects structural steel for commercial and industrial construction. • JPW CompaniesFounded in Syracuse in 1953 by World War II veteran John P. Wozniczka Sr., JPW Companies fabricates and erects steel while also handling heavy lifting and industrial rigging. Its 100,000-square-foot facility supports complex work ranging from structural steel to ASME pressure-vessel repair, with waterjet cutting and machining handled in-house.
