Columbus-based Marble Plastics manufactures architectural solid surfaces from 100% recycled plastic, pressing locally sourced waste into durable sheets for commercial interiors. Founded by Joseph Klatt after work with the Ohio EPA and the Precious Plastic recycling movement, the company makes recycling visible through patterns that preserve the character of their feedstock rather than hiding it. Its in-house Columbus studio also cuts, finishes, and thermoforms the material for projects ranging from furniture to architectural installations, with no virgin plastic used.
