Founded in Cleveland in 1980 by lifelong recycler Tom Norton, Turtle Plastics manufactures U.S.-made environmental, health and safety products from recycled plastic, including its interlocking Dura Crib stabilization blocks and original Turtle Tile cushion matting. The Lorain-based company developed its business around turning industrial plastic waste into safer alternatives to wood for first responders, equipment technicians and workplaces. It also operates an end-of-life product buyback program to support closed-loop recycling and zero-waste goals.
