Martin’s small Pennsylvania wood shop in the early 1960s into a family-owned maker and retailer of handcrafted hardwood furniture, with custom pieces still produced on the Martin family homestead. Melvin M. Martin and his three sons continue to run the business, pairing local hands-on craftsmanship with modern equipment and sustainably sourced hardwoods. Every Martin-built piece is inspected and marked with the craftsman’s signature and date, while wood waste is reused for facility heat and local farm bedding.
George's FurnitureFounded in 1970 by woodworker George Martin, George’s Furniture is a second-generation family-owned shop in Lancaster County that makes custom, solid-hardwood furniture by hand.
