Linda and Randy Rice turned a few dozen vines on their driveway into a nearly 100-acre Pocono farm producing wine, craft beer, and small-batch spirits. Opened in 2009, Mountain View Vineyard added its distillery in 2013 and now brings all three operations together with a bistro and family-friendly tasting destination. Its farming program emphasizes disease-resistant grapes, no-till rows, composted local materials, and rain gardens to reduce chemical intervention and protect the mountainside.
