Founded by Jack and Virginia Nelson in 1947, Nelson Manufacturing Company builds heavy-duty trailers and crane attachments in northwest Ohio. The company’s early work included lowboy trailers and, in 1962, the first Nelson crane boom carrier; today it also designs transport equipment and ground-support hardware for aerospace applications. Nelson’s boom launch trailers are built and tested to remove and install large hydraulic crane booms without an assist crane.
