Founded by artist and longtime contractor Andru Eron, New York Tilemakers handcrafts art tiles and produces custom mosaic murals in its Long Island City, Queens studio. Every tile is made in New York City from locally sourced clay and lead-free glazes, with small-batch, made-to-order work that preserves the irregular character of handmade ceramics. The studio has fabricated and installed major murals for New York City public schools and LaGuardia Airport, including a 21-by-21-foot installation made with more than 1,500 subway tiles.
