Established in 2008 after acquiring Norton Manufacturing, Fostoria-based NSI Crankshaft makes precision-machined crankshafts for original-equipment engine, pump, and compressor makers. Its unusual strength is complete vertical integration: NSI handles the work from steelmaking and forging through machining and heat treatment in its 205,000-square-foot facility, while its engineers help develop new crankshaft designs and materials. The company has produced crankshafts for more than 20 years and is IATF 16949 certified.
