Since 1999, Brooklyn Heights-based Orthopedic Arts Laboratory has designed and fitted individualized prostheses and orthoses, from advanced amputation care to custom braces. Led since its founding by Stephan Manucharian, a certified prosthetist and orthotist with more than three decades of clinical experience, the practice emphasizes careful socket and brace fitting followed by ongoing adjustments and repairs. Its clinical work also extends to pro-bono missions, including care for amputees in Belize and Ukrainian soldiers affected by the war.
