Pastries A-La-Carte is a family-owned Pittsburgh bakery known for custom cakes and a broad range of handmade pastries, carrying Kathy Battis’s home-baking tradition into a storefront opened on April 9, 2004. Kathy and her husband, John, continue a family baking legacy that began with her great-grandmother Ada Rennie, who came to America from England in the early 1900s. The bakery also serves as the official pastry shop of the Pittsburgh Penguins and supplies desserts for local arenas, venues, and businesses.
