Founded from owner John Petrocelli’s vision and named for his father, Raphael Wine carries on a centuries-old family tradition of winemaking on Long Island’s North Fork. Its underground, Italian-monastery-inspired winery uses gravity flow and a natural approach to make wines that express the region’s maritime climate and glacial soils. The estate is among the few in the United States to harvest its grapes entirely by hand, with vineyard work guided by more than 30 years of experience in sustainable agriculture.
