Rubber City Prints began when Kent State printmakers created a permanent Akron home for artists who would otherwise lose access to university facilities. Opened to the public in 2014, the nonprofit now sustains that community through a shared fine-art printshop and opportunities for artists from the region and beyond.

Gowanus Print LabEstablished in October 2010 in Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood, Gowanus Print Lab is an artist-run screen-printing studio producing handmade custom prints for artists, businesses, and clothing brands. Now based in Industry City, it combines contract printing with screen-making services and hands-on silkscreen classes, printing on everything from apparel to skate decks and other flat materials. Monochrome CanvasJoëlle Diane Zellman’s artist-led Monochrome Canvas is a working studio in downtown Akron, shaped by her formal training at Columbus College of Art & Design and SACI in Florence. Rewind PressColumbus artist Nicholas Nocera has built Rewind Press into a hands-on screen-printing shop for custom apparel and goods, with every print made by hand. The small team also brings its mobile printing cart to events and teaches beginners through Rewind 101 workshops, giving the shop a distinctly creative, community-facing role. AGC The Creative AdvantageFamily-owned and operated in Cleveland since 1967, AGC The Creative Advantage brings design, commercial printing and direct mail together under one roof. The company has built a long-running niche serving mission-driven organizations, including nonprofits, private schools, healthcare groups and arts organizations. Its annual 52 Weeks + 52 Works calendar, begun in 2003, turns AGC’s print expertise into an ongoing showcase for Northeast Ohio artists, while AGC was also Ohio’s first commercial printing facility to hold both FSC and SFI certification.CLEVELAND, OH
