Founded by Edward and Kathy O’Laughlin in 2014, Six Wicket Vineyards is a family-owned Myersville winery producing estate wines from 16 acres of its own vines. The vineyard reached 22,000 vines in 2022 and now makes wines from grapes grown in the Catoctin Mountains, including its signature Cabernet Franc. Visitors can book guided vineyard tours and tastings, with croquet adding an unmistakably distinctive touch to the experience.
Black Ankle VineyardsFounded by former management consultants Ed Boyce and Sarah O’Herron, Black Ankle Vineyards grows, makes, and bottles wines entirely from grapes cultivated on its Maryland farms. The operation began with its first plantings in 2003 and 2004 and now farms 108 acres of vines across 577 acres, with sustainability built into everything from vineyard work to a tasting room made largely from materials grown or gathered on the property.
