Founded in 2010 by electrical engineer and computer scientist Omololu “William” Noibi, SolAps develops connected solar devices and the software platform behind them, with the ChargeBot solar backpack as its flagship product. After moving its core development to Silicon Valley in 2015, the company expanded manufacturing and development teams across Africa and Asia while building an international distribution network. SolAps says its global team spans more than 500 people in 15-plus countries and serves over 3 million users.
