Founded in 1974 by the union of five established lace makers, Solstiss creates Calais-Caudry lace in Caudry, France, preserving century-old Leavers-loom know-how in its workshops. Its designs draw on a permanent collection of thousands of patterns and colors, alongside two new collections each year, and the house also develops custom projects. Solstiss was named a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant) in 2011.
