Founded by Ashoke Bose, Sustainable Energy and Agriculture Technology (SEAT, LLC) develops near-zero-carbon greenhouse systems designed to grow fresh produce with substantially reduced fossil-fuel use. Its approach combines solar power and phase-change thermal energy storage, alongside direct marketing to consumers and hospitality businesses, with the stated goal of producing crisp vegetables closer to U.S. markets. SEAT’s greenhouse initiative received a 2014 USDA Rural Energy for America Program grant.
