Since Fred Tank began selling fresh meat in downtown Elmore in 1907, Tank’s Meats has grown into a family-owned wholesale meat supplier and retail butcher shop. The company is now operated by the fourth generation, while members of the fifth generation work in the business, and its house-made sausage tradition—begun with a Swiss sausage maker in the mid-1950s—remains a signature.
