Founded by Gary Reed in the late 1980s, Tech Met provides chemical milling and surface-treatment services for high-performance metal components, particularly in aerospace, medical and additive manufacturing. The Glassport company has served the aerospace community since 1988 and operates more than 120,000 square feet across two Pennsylvania facilities, with capacity for parts up to 10,000 pounds and 20 feet long. Tech Met became 100% employee-owned through an ESOP when Reed retired in 2015, and maintains Nadcap supplier merit status for chemical processing, held since 2002.
