About

Sixth-generation Lebanese olive oil producers Noura and Gus launched The BAAL Project in 2021 to make small-batch extra virgin olive oil and olive oil soap from their family’s North Lebanon groves. The family’s 200-year-old trees are hand-harvested, with olives pressed within hours and the oil bottled in Lebanon, while recovered olives and soap shavings help keep the process low-waste. Based in New York and made with family-grown Lebanese olives, BAAL also supports the preservation of Lebanon’s olive-oil heritage and sustainable farming traditions.
