Serving U.S. manufacturers from Northeast Ohio since 1926, The Universal Steel Company is a privately held flat-rolled steel service center that processes and supplies carbon steel from its 200,000-square-foot facility. Its inventory exceeds 50,000 tons, and its cut-to-length, slitting and shape-correction work includes sheet up to one inch thick and 72 inches wide. Following Columbia National Group’s 2021 acquisition of Chatfield Steel, the company also supplies steel blanks in a broad range of sizes. Universal Steel has maintained ISO 9001 certification since 2001 and is currently certified to ISO 9001:2015.
