Founded by David Gladden in a Bristol workshop in 1980, Timber Treasures grew from a one-person operation into a much-loved maker and source of handmade wooden gifts. Now part of Canterbury-based Siesta Crafts, it works directly with artisan craftspeople overseas while continuing to produce selected pieces in the UK from locally sourced timber.

Cat's Meow VillageFrom a single wooden house cut on her grandfather’s saw in a Wooster hog barn, Faline grew Cat’s Meow Village into a maker of handcrafted wooden replicas that preserve the character of landmarks and personal places. Founded in 1982, the company still produces its signature little wooden buildings in its Wooster workshop, with the black cat mascot Casper tucked into each design. Its long design files also let collectors recreate retired local pieces and reorder custom home keepsakes.WOOSTER, OH
Canterbury Woods CreationsAfter leaving a 12-year technology career, founder Francis Twomey turned an oak bed made for his new upstate New York home into Canterbury Woods Creations, a woodworking studio making handmade furniture and custom commissions. Working primarily with domestic hardwoods, Twomey builds one-of-a-kind pieces around a client’s dimensions, space, and ideas rather than producing for quantity. The family’s J&J Twomey Collection adds handmade boards and trays crafted by his parents, with a tree planted and a portion of proceeds donated to the American Heart Association for each board or tray sold.VESTAL, NY
