Founded in 1983 by Cornell engineer Cornelis Drost, Transonic Systems develops biomedical flow-measurement tools built around the transit-time ultrasound technology he pioneered. From its Ithaca headquarters, the company supports clinicians, researchers and medical-device developers with quantitative measurements used from operating rooms and dialysis clinics to life-science laboratories and OEM devices. Transonic’s 120-person organization manufactures in an ISO 13485:2016-certified facility and has supplied flow technology cited in thousands of studies.
