From its Summersville, West Virginia base, US Carburetion makes do-it-yourself conversion kits that let gasoline generators run on propane, natural gas, or all three fuels. Operating since 1995, the company says carburetion is its sole focus and has developed the patented Motor Snorkel system, which routes fuel through the carburetor gasket without cutting the generator frame or modifying the carburetor. Its kits serve a wide range of generator and engine models, backed by dedicated technical support.

Hydrogen Energy Systems, LLCFounded in Akron in 2007, Hydrogen Energy Systems, LLC develops hydrogen-fuel technology for internal-combustion engines, centered on its patented Hydrogen Mixing Block™. The device replaces a carburetor or electronic fuel injector so small engines can run mechanically on 100% compressed hydrogen, and the company has tested the system across engines from 6 to 13 horsepower. HES has also demonstrated the technology in a portable generator and a six-passenger golf shuttle prototype.AKRON, OH
