Born from Dorothy Waterhouse’s discovery of seven layers of hand-blocked wallpaper in a Cape Cod house, Waterhouse Wallhangings creates wallpaper and fabric rooted in historic American interiors. Founded as a business in 1950, the company draws on archival documents dating from roughly 1700 to 1895 while also developing newer designs, and has supplied period-appropriate reproductions for historic restorations ranging from Colonial Williamsburg to the White House.
