Opened by John and Dorothy Hergenroeder in April 1943, Woodlea Bakery is a family-run Baltimore-area bakery making fresh, from-scratch baked goods and custom cakes. Now operated by their grandson Charlie and his wife Concetta, the bakery has remained in the family for four generations and serves customers from locations in Baltimore and Bel Air. Woodlea also supplies wholesale baked goods and is especially known for individually crafted wedding cakes.
