Opened by Kate and Sean Edwards in 1994, Buffalo Coffee Roastery built its name as the first coffee house in the area to roast on site, using a 12-kilo San Franciscan roaster. Now a family-owned roastery in Sanborn, the company focuses on small-batch roasting for retail and wholesale customers, with more than 30 years of refining its craft. Its newer wellness-minded line includes mushroom-infused coffee made with certified organic coffee and American-grown mushrooms.

Goldberry Roasting CompanyStarted by Doug Cooper as a basement hobby in 2010, Goldberry Roasting Company now produces small-batch specialty coffee at its family-owned roastery in Ashland, Ohio. Doug’s son Pete joined in 2019, turning the business into a family legacy built around carefully developed roast profiles and close relationships with coffee farmers, including partners in Mexico’s Sierra Norte region.
