Born from the medieval-reenactment hobby of husband-and-wife team Eric and Misa McAnallen, Fitzgibbon Meadery makes honey-based meads and country fruit wines in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Founded as a licensed venture in 2019, it is Ellwood City’s only meadery, with Misa developing recipes and Eric creating the humorous labels that give the bottles their distinctive character. The Mead Hall tasting room also pairs the drinks with public axe-throwing lanes.
