Founded in 2008 on a former abandoned property in Champlain, Four Maples Vineyard & Winery grows grapes and makes estate wines in New York’s Champlain Valley AVA, surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains. Its 5,600 vines are cold-hardy Nordic varieties suited to the North Country climate, and the estate takes its name from four century-old maple trees that shade the grounds. Visitors can taste the wines, picnic, or gather for events beneath the maples.
