For three decades, glassblower and designer John Pomp has built a Philadelphia studio around an experimental, hands-on approach to making. Working with his partner Anne and a team of more than 50 creatives, the studio develops sculptural furniture and lighting in-house, using old-world craftsmanship alongside studies of molten glass and other elemental materials.
John Strauss Furniture DesignIn an Ohio workshop, sculptor-trained John Strauss and interior designer Carisa Marie create limited-edition furniture, lighting and sculptural objects for designers, architects and meaningful spaces. Strauss brings more than 30 years of furniture-making experience, while Marie adds two decades in interior design; together, they combine modern technology with traditional joinery and hand finishing.
